Sunday 16th October: St Giles Hotel

Starting at 3.00pm on Sunday 16th October conference activities, evening reception and dinner will be centred in the St Giles Hotel, Bedford Avenue in Bloomsbury. It is a one minute walk from Tottenham Court Underground Station (map below). See the Book now page for accomodation packages, if required.

Monday 17th October: Congress House

The main conference on Monday 17th October (8.30am - 6.00pm) will take place at Congress House which has been the headquarters of the Trades Union Congress in central London since 1958 and was built as a memorial to trade unionists who lost their lives during both world wars.

How to get to the Hotel

The St Giles Hotel London is approximately 50 metres along Tottenham Court Road from Tottenham Court Road Tube Station and is serviced by both the Northern and Central lines. When exiting the station Exit No.3 should be used for the St. Giles Hotel; Bedford Avenue is the second street on the right as you pass the Dominion Theatre.

From Waterloo International Station

Take the underground Northern line (Northbound Charing Cross branch) to Tottenham Court Road Station (2 stops).

From Euston Station

Take the underground Northern line (Southbound Charing Cross branch) to Tottenham Court Road Station (3 stops).

From Victoria Station

Take the underground Victoria line (Northbound) to Oxford Circus (2 stops), then change onto the Central line (Eastbound) to Tottenham Court Road Station (1 stop).

From Heathrow Airport

By underground, take the Piccadilly Line to Leicester Square Station and change to the Northern line (Northbound) to Tottenham Court Road Station (1 stop). Alternatively by underground, take the Piccadilly Line to Leicester Square Station and change to the Northern line (Northbound) to Tottenham Court Road Station (1 stop).

From Gatwick Airport

Take either Connex South Central or Gatwick Express rail services direct to Victoria station; then take number 24, 25 or 73 bus from the main station and alight at Tottenham Court Road. Flightline coach services also run between Gatwick and Victoria Station (details available at airport information).

From Stansted Airport

Take the Express rail service to Liverpool Street Station, then the underground Central Line (Westbound) to Tottenham Court Road Station (5 stops).

N.B. Journey time for all 3 airports is approximately 1 hour (depending on time of day and day of week).

From London City Airport

Use the Docklands Light Railways (DLR) service to Bank Station, then the underground Central Line (Westbound) to Tottenham Court Road Station (4 stops).
