Inappropriate complaints to the GMC - a Workshop
Following an introduction by the Chairman, this session will compromise a short series of case histories, presentations by the GMC and the medical defence unions (MDU and MDDUS) as well as a keynote address from Chris Sallon, a leading QC and specialist in regulatory and disciplinary work cases which involve medicine and forensic science. He will give a legal perspective on difficulties faced by OH physicians.

The aim of this workshop is to address issues arising from the complaints procedure and to gather guidance as to effective ways of approaching and dealing with complaints. Throughout the session there will be a mixture of plenary presentations, small group discussions Q/A and an opportunity to feedback views and opinions.
